Conference in 2028 ‘Wai Stich-Wai Knot’, hosted by the Waikato Embroiderers' Guild is being held at St Peter’s School in Cambridge. This venue offers single room, on site accommodation. The school is set in extensive and attractive grounds within minutes of Cambridge, should you wish to have accommodation off site.
As the format for this Conference has been shortened, the programme will run a little bit different with Association Day on the Friday, and classes starting on the Saturday through to Tuesday.
As our guild covers the Waikato, we are spreading the venues across the region, with the exhibition being held in Morrinsville at the Morrinsville Art Gallery. The modern gallery is an excellent space to show off our embroidered art. The Conference dinner will be held on Saturday night at Hamilton Gardens. Because the venues are a bit apart from St Peters, we will be providing transport to the Conference dinner and the gallery at stipulated times.
Because of our shortened format, we are looking at a creative solution for Extensions Day, which is a valued part of Conference.
So, keep reading the updates for more information regarding this, but fear not, there will be an Extensions Day! Our committee is getting ready to give you a Conference to knock your socks off, and we look forward to welcoming you all to Cambridge and the Waikato region in 2028.
