Colour Challenge | Embroidery NZ

Entries to the 2026 Colour Challenge have closed.

It is now being photographed and will then judged before being hung at Left Bank Art Gallery, Greymouth.

The winner will be announced in October's issue of Threads magazine.

Voting for the Viewers' Choice Prize will be via the website gallery. We will announce when the gallery is available for viewing and voting opens via our Facebook page: embroiderynz.co.nz

Please ready the terms and conditions fully before you start stitching.

Anyone is allowed to enter – this challenge is for everyone, not just ANZEG Guild members.

The most important conditions to note are:

Colour - the theme is GREEN.
Size - 200mm (20cm / 8"), square. No other sizes will be accepted.
Stitching - please make sure your piece includes a significant amount of stitching. Lace allowed.
1 entry per person.

FORM A is due by Friday July 24, 2026.

You can either download the PDF (click on the icon), fill in the fields, and email it back to the Education Coordinator, or print, fill in and post

click on the E-form, fill in the details and it's automatically emailed to the coordinator for you.

Please remember to pay your $20 per entry (details in both forms).

FORM B and your piece(s) are due no later than Friday August 7, 2026.
